Tulsa sports a never-ending line-up of exciting games, tournaments and recreational activities and events. Professional sports include Tulsa Drillers baseball, Tulsa Oilers hockey, Tulsa 66ers basketball and Tulsa Talons arena football. The University of Tulsa and Oral Roberts University provide a wealth of collegiate match-ups. Equestrian facilities are among the nation's finest and our 16 public golf courses and professional tournaments make Tulsa a golf destination. Tulsa's pitches, diamonds and courts come alive every weekend with a bevy of youth sports. Tulsans and visitors alike enjoy our 144 parks during our 227 days of sunshine each year.

2007 PGA Championships
As Tulsa's beautiful and challenging Southern Hills Country Club welcomes Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Retief Goosen and more on August 6-12, it becomes the first club in history to host four PGA Championships. The last leg of golf's grand slam, the 89th PGA Championship boasts more top 100, world-ranked players than any other golf major. It is history in the making as the best of the best take on this Perry-Maxwell-designed championship course and compete for the PGA's coveted Wanamaker Trophy.

BOk Center
With its glistening glass sweeping upward like a stroke from a master's brush, downtown Tulsa's BOk Center is an event in itself. Designed by world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli, its sculptural presence will play host to regional shows, major concerts and heart-pounding sports events including home games of the Tulsa Oilers ice hockey team. The center's impressive array of commissioned art, to the tune of $1.35 million, includes work from New York's Joe Andoe, a native Tulsan whose art can be seen in the MOMA and the Met. Ribbon-cutting for this 18,000-seat, regional destination is slated for September, 2008.

Recreation

Tulsa Parks
The City of Tulsa manages 140 parks covering roughly 6,000 acres including nature centers, golf courses, the Tulsa Zoo, Tulsa Garden Center, 22 swimming pools, 156 sports fields, 115 playgrounds, 123 tennis courts, 25 water playgrounds, The River SkatePark, 60 picnic shelters, 20 community centers, fitness facilities, gymnasiums, meeting rooms and facilities, trails and more.

Tulsa Zoo
Situated on 70 beautifully landscaped acres, and with nearly 1,500 animals - many of them endangered and rare - visitors can enjoy all that nature has to offer at the Tulsa Zoo.

Gilcrease Museum
Where the story of the American West unfolds. The art collection includes over 10,000 paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures by 400 artists from colonial times to the present.
