Special Events in Tulsa

Home to nearly a million people, Tulsa always has something interesting to do. Spring is a beautiful time in Tulsa with azaleas, redbuds and dogwoods in full bloom all of the city, making a drive to Philbrook or Gilcrease a visual feast in itself. Summer is filled with sports like Drillers baseball and horse racing at Fair Meadows, farmers markets all over the region and plenty of outdoor concerts. Fall is Oktoberfest season, along with the Tulsa Run and the Tulsa State Fair, one of the best people watching events in the world. Even the cold days of winter offer the Tulsa Ballet's annual performance of The Nutcracker, the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals and bald eagle watching on the Arkansas River. Any time of year is a good time to be in Tulsa.

Tulsa Parks is the home for hundreds of special events every year.  With 120 parks that include recreation centers, shelters, ponds, sporting areas, landscaping, and wide open spaces it's easy to see why people plan their events, and attend events, at Tulsa Parks.
